ADORO TE DEVOTE

This exquisite and timeless hymn penned by St. Thomas Aquinas was recently performed by the choir. LISTEN HERE.

While the choir members descend the loft to receive Holy Communion, the L.A. Harbor Chamber Ensemble introduces the hymn with their sweet and majestic strings. The arrangements are by Mr. Tony Tripp. Even the infants crying in the background add a certain beauty to this powerful piece.
ADORO te devote, latens Deitas, quae sub his figuris vere latitas: tibi se cor meum totum subiicit, quia te contemplans totum deficit.

HIDDEN God, devoutly I adore Thee, truly present underneath these veils: all my heart subdues itself before Thee, since it all before Thee faints and fails.

The rest of the words is HERE.
